In a stunning Grade II listed building at a landmark location in Piccadilly, you’ll find Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa!
After feeling totally spent out at the shops, we stopped by mid-afternoon to try out the much talked about Barbecoa Afternoon Tea……
SAVOURIES
Wagyu Beef Slider, Seaweed & Crab Cracker, Goat’s Curd & Honeyed Almonds, Croquette
The Wagyu Beef Slider, was out of this world, so juicy and full of flavour. The Croquette a ball of absolute melt in the mouth, deliciousness.
PASTRIES
Bourbon Canelé, Chocolate & Hazelnut Choux, Pear & Vanilla Slice, Lemon & Cranberry Pie, Barbecoa Brownie, Salted Caramel Macaron, Gingerbread, l Crème Brûlée
I am all about a cake, and these were an extremely special selection, each delicious in their own right, but my absolute favourite had to be the brownie, so chocolatey and gooey!
SCONES
Jersey Clotted Cream, Your Choice Of Strawberry Jam & Peanut Butter, Seasonal Jam
No afternoon tea would be complete without a warm scone or two…. or three in my case. In my defence they were jut too moreish!
I’m a cream then jam kinda girl, I’ll let you decide if that impresses or infuriates you.
So whilst I sat, pouring from the bottomless tea pot (full of a good old breakfast tea), in spectacular surroundings, I conclude this is definitely a place I will be revisiting! But next time for dinner and one of those succulent steaks.
Until next time…………..
