It’s always a killer heading back in to the office after a long weekend, but what better way to break up the day, than by heading out for lunch at newly opened DEN – http://den-udon.uk.com/
Located a short walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, this is a great place to refuel in between meetings, or to meet friends for a bite to eat after work.
The staff were super helpful and wasted no time in telling us how the menu worked. Tsunami (small plates) are to start, Udon dishes can be chosen with either a white or black broth & vegetarian options are also available. For an extra £2 you can bag yourself some rice and homemade pickles or hot soup of the day.
Here is what we chowed down on….
The sizzling beef steak with grilled vegetables was packing some serious flavour punch!
The prawn & vegetable tempura was just begging to be dipped into the dish of soy sauce.
If you fancy checking out DEN’s Sake menu of an evening, you can always order lots of small plates to share between your group!
In no time at all the mains arrived!
The Chicken Kara Age is everyone’s favourite, and a must order, very moreish!
There is really nothing more satisfying and filling than a warm bowl of noodles, and the thick gravy was enough to make you slurp every last drop from the bowl.
Whether it’s a quick bite for lunch, nibbles and drinks with friends or a cheeky takeaway, I recommend you get down to DEN for some authentic Japanese cooking.
