Taste of London 2015

Taste of London never disappoints, but I have to say….. this was definitely the best year yet!

For those of you who may not be familiar with Taste, it is, in a nutshell the king of all food festival’s! It makes some of the top London restaurants and celebrity chefs totally accessible for the likes of you and I, and also hosts great independent businesses. So without further ado here are my top picks from Taste 2015.Top pick of the day has to be these ladies, Jessica & Harriett.

LOVO is a brand new, simply mouthwatering drink that blends the delicious, hydrating properties of coconut water with the cool, crispness of vodka to create the ultimate refreshing summer drink.

Their story is quite incredible and very inspirational, having only come up with the idea just over four and a half months ago, they now stock exclusively at Harvey Nichols’ stores nationwide and online at www.31dover.com priced at £2.95.

The drink itself is even more impressive, using only a blend of pure Thai coconut water and premium vodka, with less than 1% natural sugar. Each 250ml bottle contains 128 calories, with absolutely no refined sugar, artificial colours or flavours.

Looking for your perfect summer drink? Your search is over! Love Summer, Love LOVO!

As I head on round the circuit, I stop off at Chop Shop and pick myself up a roast pulled pork sausage roll, WOW, this is quite literally the best sausage roll I have ever eaten, with a generous helping of apple sauce on the side, I could not eat this quick enough. If this taster is anything to go by, I cannot wait to visit the restaurant!
Before long I find myself over at the Prosecco and cheese tasting tent, Grana Padano PDO and Prosecco PDO, two outstanding products of the Italian wine & food tradition! Who knew that this top class cheese would combine so well with the flowery Prosecco for an all time taste sensation. Of course I asked the question, and I can confirm……….. there will not be a Prosecco shortage this year, YEY!

After all the Prosecco, I stop off for a quick cuppa…………… But not just any old cup of tea, T2 tea!

Quite the tea experience, I rattled my taste buds with delicious and original iced tea blends including; ‘Strawberries and Cream’, ‘Liquorice Legs’, ‘Pumping Pomegranate’, ‘Lemongrass and Ginger’, and the delectable summer fusion, ‘Fruitalicious’

The Australian company has 4 London stores, and I urge you to go and check one out if you are an avid tea lover like me, you will not be disappointed.

Time for more food, and maybe some Gin! Good job Roast were on hand with theses tasty pork belly baps and a shot of gin for good measure! As the day drew to a close, I had that Friday feeling and the girls and I decided not to stop there and headed to The Albany for a few more cheeky beverages.

If you are a lover of all things food and drink I suggest you get yourself to TASTE winter addition in November, click HERE for tickets!!
